This may be a smart move on Disney, though some fans don’t feel easy knowing their favorite Marvel franchise is in the same boat as Mickey and Donald. Will Disney change Marvel to hold up to their family-friendly standards?
Probably not.
Disney does control the ABC networks, home to Lost and Desperate Housewives, and Pixar, which doesn’t seem to have changed much from when they first started. But who knows what the future holds for newly bought Marvel characters. Luckily for you, this isn’t the only news to come out today.
While one company is gaining something, another one is losing somethings. Tokyopop’s licenses to Kodansha titles will not be renewed. Read the news here.
